Indiana relies on the federally facilitated exchange/marketplace, so residents enroll through HealthCare.gov. Five insurers will offer plans in the exchange for 2023, including Cigna, which is new for 2023.

The open enrollment period for individual/family coverage runs from November 1 to January 15. Outside of open enrollment, a qualifying event is necessary to enroll or make changes to your coverage. For 2023 coverage, five insurers will offer exchange plans in Indiana, including one that’s new for 2023.

The following insurers offer plans in the Indiana exchange as of 2023, with plan availability varying from one location to another:

• Cigna (new for 2023, offering plans in the Indianapolis area)
